Let’s start with the facts about this car!
This 1991 Ferrari 348ts was involved in an accident on a test drive when the car was brand new. The damage incurred was to the left quarter panel and drivers door. It is our understanding that the car was not a total loss however the Ferrari Dealer requested that the car be declared “TOTALED” (not uncommon for a new luxury car). We do not know who the first owner was or the extent of the damage. We do have part receipts totaling more than $40,000 which does not include any labor expense. The car was taken completely apart and the engine was removed to repair the body damage. The second owner purchased the car in 1999 with 4,800 miles and it mostly sat in his garage. He also added factory F355 18" alloy wheels. In early 2005 he had the car towed to our shop because the car would not start. We diagnosed the problem as two (2) bad fuel pumps due to bad/old gasoline. We informed him of the cost to repair the car and at this point he said he would get back with us. So the car sat in our warehouse/shop until March 2006 when the car was offered to us. The 2nd owner did not want to repair the car or could not afford the repairs, not to mention the storage fees for almost a year.
The car was purchased by WebCars, L.P. 2 months ago with 6,068 actual miles and has a Texas rebuilt certificate of title. However this does not make it a bad car. We typically do not deal in vehicles with rebuilt titles but this Ferrari 348ts was so nice and clean that for the price and the LOW mileage, it was hard for us to pass up. The pictures are an accurate depiction of the car but do not do it justice. All electrical/mechanical systems are functional and in excellent working condition. The interior and exterior of the car are also in excellent condition and the car runs and drives perfect! You can purchase this car for the price of a used Corvette but why would you when you can have a FERRARI in your garage.
